I'm being monitored as have two lesions in right lung, one upper and one lower, 2.5 and 2.7, had PET scan last March which showed abnormal and suspicious, was told would be CT scan every 12 weeks, but last one July and was told still the same and next scan February, if changed will be given surgery, so am assuming that lung unit not sure if benign or cancerous, just wondering how long will get monitored if still no change, consultant said having needle biopsy could be detrimental to my lung, wondering if being put on the back burner as hospitals under pressure due to covid, just sometimes a bit unsure, thanks, Bogstandard
Hello try and stay positive. I have just been diagnosed with lung cancer and at the moment I know nothing more I am waiting to see the specialist. The appointment was tomorrow but the hospital called today to reschedule the appointment for Thursday.
I am sure you have not been put on the back burner, but if you are unsure about anything I would advise you give them a call and get some clarification.
stay strong have a good day
Hi thanks for the encouragement, much appreciated, spoke to my support recently as a few health issues detiorated, she passed into my consultant but to date no feed back, I'm near to next scan due February so will wait for that appointment, support nurse did say they were overrun with patients further along in their treatment, good luck with your future journey, take care hope all goes positive
