Hello all

I’m new here just needed some advice and possibly anyone who has a parent going through this, my mum has lung cancer and started chemo yesterday and immunotherapy, she was ok last night, I’ve took her to all appointments for everything I’m doing all her shopping but she’s turned herself into an invalid overnight, the nurse said to try and stay positive and live as normal as possible but she won’t move, I’m an only child and I’m the only person who is doing everything for her, has anyone got any ideas to help me help her thanks

  • Hi Tishan1 welcome to the group, but sorry to hear about your mum. Do you think your mum has become depressed? Can you talk to your mums GP or someone from her medical team at the hospital about this.

There are other groups you may want to join where you may find other people going through a similar situation. Carers only forum and Family and friends - Discussion Forum are both very supportive groups.

You can also call the Macmillan support line on 0808 808 00 00. They are available 7 days a week from 8am until 8pm.
