Thought I would say hi. I have 2 dad's both terminal, dad 1 has IPF rather than cancer, dad 2 has lung cancer, we are at the end, he has stopped eating, stopped drinking and almost sighs with every breath. He has had enough. By two disabled sons are struggling so much with it all. I cannot sleep and keep having almost panic crying attacks whenever I am alone for 5 minutes. Xx
Hi 2dads, welcome to the group, but sorry to hear about your 2 dads. I don’t know how old your sons are, but hope you are getting support to help them through this time.
It is extremely hard when you are told a loved one has this awful disease. It is heartbreaking when you are told they are terminal. Talking to other people who understand what you are going through does help. You may want to join the Supporting someone with incurable cancer forum where you will find other people in a similar situation to yourself.
You can also call the Macmillan support line on 0808 808 00 00. They are available 7 days a week from 8am until 8pm.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
