Hi there, I'm crap with technology so not sure what I'm doing. A week ago I received a diagnosis of lung cancer which has spread to my windpipe and lymph nodes. Devastating news Sob

  • Hi zenabombina, welcome to the group, but sorry you find yourself here. It really is terrifying when you receive a cancer diagnoses. I know I felt like it wasn’t happening to me, and that I was on the outside looking in at this nightmare happening to someone else. It does get better, I know you won’t feel like that at the moment, but it really does. Have faith in your oncology team that they will find the right treatment for you. Lots of us here who have been living with lung cancer for years, so there is lots of hope x

    Hi Chelle

Thank you SO much for taking the time to speak to me. I too am a mum to three, all boys. I too am too young...49. I've got a really busy couple of days trying to sort Christmas stuff etc. before seeing the oncology consultant for the first time on Wednesday. I'd love to chat to you more over the coming weeks. I had the middle lobe of my right lung removed three weeks ago (thought to be infection) so I shouldn't really start chemotherapy for at least another 5 weeks. Fingers crossed I can start on Thursday,  Friday or Saturday though.

Your kindness is priceless, please take good care of yourself

I’m really struggling as sole carer to my partner with lung & brain cancer , I’m exhausted and sad as he can be so mean to me sometimes especially when he’s on steroids , it’s been 28 months and I’m quite broken Disappointed
