Hi all I've recently been diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer and been told they cannot cure but are going to try immunotherapy, be nice to talk to someone who is going through or been through this. I do have family and friends support x
Hi Morag2 welcome to the group but sorry you find yourself here. There are a few of us here who are in the not curable but treatable group. I haven’t had immunotherapy myself so I cannot comment on that, but by me replying it will bump your post and hopefully someone will see it soon.
Take care x
Hi Morag2
i was diagnosed with nsclc back in February like you treatable but not curable. I had 3 cycles of chemo and 30 sessions of radiotherapy. Started Immunotherapy Durvalumab in May getting 12 treatments (1 every 4 weeks) so far so good scan showed tumour in centre of chest shrunk by 50% lung tumour still enflamed by radiotherapy but that is normal. Joint pain quite bad especially in hands due to treatment, but managing at moment with paracetamol and Codein. Also get really tired. Due next scan on 16th December so fingers crossed. Like you don’t know how I would have coped if not for my family and friends.
