Hi new here I care for my mum who has lung cancer and just finished 2nd round of chemo which has knocked her for 6 She has suddenly from mobile and independent to virtually no mobility and needing lots of help
Hi ROs365 welcome to the group, but sorry you find yourself here. Sorry I had missed your post, and have only just seen it now. Bless your mum, chemo can be very gruelling. Can I suggest that you talk to someone in her medical team, it may be possible to tweak her chemo if it is too much for her. Your mum would of been a contact number for her nurse who is assigned to her, I would give her a ring and tell her how your mum is doing.
Caring for a loved one with cancer is very hard. There are some people here in the lung group who are caring for a parent, but there are also other support groups on the online community you can join.
You will find several people there who are going through a similar situation to yourself. You can also call the Macmillan support helpline for support 7 days a week from 8am til 8pm on 0808 808 00 00
Take care
