Hey everyone now to the group, my sister is 41 and has had a chest x-ray they have called her saying they have found a soft tissue mass on her lung does this necessarily mean cancer and has anyone been in a similar situation and been diagnosed, I am worried sick thank you.
Hi hopingforgoodnews and welcome to the group, but sorry to hear about your sister. It is extremely worrying when something like this is picked up on a chest x-ray. It would be impossible for any of us to say what this may be, as there are always so many tests required before a cancer diagnoses is confirmed. What is the next step for your sister? Has she had a referral to the hospital?
Hi, thanks for replying she is waiting to go in for a CT scan, they explained it’s a large soft tissue mass on her right lung we are so scared she has 7 children
Hi again Hopingforgoodnews it is very worrying, especially when there are children to think about too.
Your sister is lucky to have you supporting her. It might be a while before your sister gets a diagnoses, and the wait for results is very worrying. You can always call the Macmillan support line to chat to someone if you need too. They are available 7 days a week from 8am til 8pm on 0808 808 00 00
Let us know how your sister gets on x
