Hi Kerman, none of us here have any medical training or are able to advise on medical conditions. We are all either lung cancer patients, or are caring for a loved one with this disease. What I can say is early diagnoses is so important in any cancer diagnoses, so I would get yourself to the doctors and get yourself checked.
Wishing you all the best
Hi kerjan
Get yourself off to the doctors ASAP and find out what is going on, like Chelle says whether it is COPD or Cancer you need an early diagnosis so either way it can be treated.
I have COPD and Asthma and I thought my Asthma was playing up as I had a very slight cough but my breathing was out of sync so I rang docs after 4 months because my daughter was on my case. I'm glad I did in a way as I was diagnosed and seen the oncologist within 10 days. My news was not good as I have NSCLC and SCLC which is bad news for me.
I started radiotherapy 5 days later on the highest dose for 20 days, I had my CT scan not so long ago and my mass was 37mms to start with but after treatment it's shrunk to 24mms. Hopefully it is keeping thhe SCLC at bay as that's the one which is aggressive and will spread through my body.
Like you I smoked and am 63 but I'm going to fight to the bitter end now I know I have the big C. Please Please get to the docs and no matter what the results are there are treatments out there for most things.
Sending you hugs and keep in touch love Jean xxx
