Hello I was diagnosed with early stage adenocarcinoma in my right lung in April this year. As I'm a 76 year old I was not fit for surgery, so I had sart for 5 treatments. That finished 8 weeks ago, now I will need a ct scan in 4 weeks time, to see if it has worked. I find this waiting time very difficult, has anyone else been in the same situation.
I'm trying to live as normal but it's really hard. Up until operation I was still playing walking football so I'm hoping I can still continue even when I'm having treatment. I can't sit around its just not me ?
I know how awful you are feeling its a terrible thing to be told you've got cancer. I was not able to have the operation so I had stereotactic radiation. Its only 5 treatments. But then you've got to wait 3 months to get any results. All I can say to you is don't ever give in to it. Hope everything turns out well for you take care x
Hiya hope all goes well for you. 3 months is a long time to wait hope you get a good result. I'm not going to give up, got to much to live for 2 daughters 5 grandchildren. Take care keep in contact x
I will keep in touch you too hope everything is OK with you. Take care xx
