Yes youll still have a cough

I personall have whats called bronchestasis in the bottom of my left lung that causes you to cough all the time

If it was me I'd consult my GP, I think it's best to be cautious in these circumstances.

I had a similar cough a short while ago and it turned out to be a chest infetion which was quickly cured with antibiotics. I only have one lung (right lung removed) so a cough is always a little worse.

I hope it gets cleared quickly.
