Hi everyone,

Feel like granddad would benefit from a humidifier and purifier to help with his dry eyes, nose, mouth etc., but really unsure what to buy - he wakes up every morning with the above and I've seen online that humidifiers can help especially with COPD - has anyone any recommendations? Budget is whatever is the best for him Slight smile

thank you!

  • Hi   I use a humidifier at night, which I got off of Amazon, and wasn’t expensive at all, it was under £20. It also has a night light which is very useful. It doesn’t have a purifier though, I think if you want a purifier as well that is when they start to get expensive.

  • There was an article in the mail last week about humidifiers not sure if you can bring it up online .I tried an inhaler machine and the doctor gave me salbutamol capsules to put in it to breathe in It’s what they use in the hospital after lung ops .Ask your doctor  for recommendations or the macmillan girls .Don t know if this helps ,but he’s lucky to have you looking out for him

  • Thank you I'll have a look on Amazon, yes I think so too, do you find it's helpful? X

  • I'll see if I can find it online, just wanted to see on here if anyone had tried any! I'll get him to ask respiratory but he won't be seeing them for a while I don't think, treatment starts 11/4 and then follow-up 3 months I think? Aww thank you so much x

  • Yes it helps me, especially in the winter when the central heating is on the air gets so dry, so the moisture from the humidifier helps.
