Hi All, I'm a new member. I was being treated for long covid. After many xrays and scans, a PET scan showed positive cells in my lung. I was diagnosed with stage 2a non small cell lung cancer. I had the right top lobe of my lung removed 7 weeks ago. I've now seen a Oncologist who had suggested taking Osimertinib for 3 years. Is there anyone here that has experience of taking this therapy please
I've been taking Osimertinib for two months now for Stage 4 EGFR positive cancer. I was really unwell before I started treatment but started to feel better in a few days and now am back to doing most of what I would normally do. Been fortunate not to have any significant side effects so far. Got everything crossed for my CT scan on Thursday. You might find the EGFR Facebook page a helpful place to get advice and support or they have a website with useful info too.
Hi I was diagnosed18 months ago with Stage 4 nsclc. Osimertinib has been working so far and I have no side effects except thinning hair (I have a terrific wig the cost was met by NHS) Unfortunately at my last scan my cancer shows a "minute" increase and I've just had 5 days radiotherapy . I'm temporarily on dexamethasone to offset side effects. I've been advised osimertinib will continue.
All good wishes to you
