Ct guided biopsy

I was given disposable gowns for mine.  I was able to keep my leggings on, so wear bottoms with no metal.

Because the biopsy is CT guided, you're on the CT table while the biopsy is performed.  Afterwards you're kept on a normal examination room bed for an hour or two and x-rays are taken to make sure that there haven't been any complications.

Hi Fifi, I was asked to put gown on just before I went down, went on a trolley and then transferred to CT scanner table. I wasn't allowed to get off trolley for about 2 or 3 hours and after I'd had chest xay. The local stings a bit but after that I didn't feel anything just a bit of pressure and some clicking when they took the  biopsy, good luck, hope all goes well

Hi, I am waiting on a CT guided Lung biopsy, can I ask how you got on ?  I don't like to go for anything before I know what to expect, I don't like sugar coating anything, is it a painful experience ?  Im dreading it.  Were you OK having the procedure done ? 

Hi, can I ask if this was a painful procedure ? I'm waiting on appointment for the same. 

I have mine tomorrow and I'm really scared. 

I had one when this journey.,

Lay on stomach, dr i put some numbing cream for area, i never felt a thing, just heard a click click sound.. Stayed about 2 hours, to make sure bp was good and then sent home, though every one is different.

Mine was on Tuesday,  and I was petrified and cried a lot. I will say ot was a very odd experience. The only pain I felt was as the needle went through the lining of my lung  I have IV pain relief afterwards. I had a small pneumothorax so I have needed a few more chest xrays. I get my results on Thursday 

Thank you all. For some reason I didn't get any notifications. My procedure was on Tuesday.  It wasn't a pleasurable experience  

I nearly jumped off the table as the needle went through the lining! It was hard trying to take the same depth breaths! 

I got a small pneumothorax,  so had an xray on Friday, and will have another before my results appointment on Thursday

Oh bloody hell. That's scared me even more now   hope you are OK now ? 

I didn't mean to scare you. I was just honest of my experience.  The Dr said everyone is different.  After the IV pain relief,  I was expecting pain after it wore off. But it never came. I have been fine since, the pneumothorax hasn't affected me at all
