Had breast cancer in 2009 left side lumpectamy chemo & radiotherapy. Chronic cough since then . Lung cancer in 2018 right upper lobe removed .  Just had my final 5 year check with all clear . But this cough is driving me mad ,when I go from different temperatures it sets me off ,or strong smells ,cough so much it leaves me breathless & gagging. Doctor says no problems with lungs & thinks it might be the radiotherapy I had in 2009 that has left my lungs irritated . Nothing I take seems to help .

  • Hi Kim ibbo, I am sorry to hear you have this cough that is causing you problems. It is great to see you have the 5 year all clear though! That is wonderful news.

Sorry I don’t have any advice to give about the cough. I know at the beginning of my journey my cough was really bad, and no matter what I tried I couldn’t make it stop. I hope it is something that will pass for you.

  • Hi Kim

I just picked you up as my cough is actually getting worse to the point where I’m gagging.
I didn’t have radiotherapy so it’s not that, and exactly the same as you a change in atmosphere sets it off.

I went to Cornwall and cough

just back from Cotswolds where I coughed.

It’s not a good look when people are stressing about Covid.

I’m flying to Spain soon might get T-shirt.

    Not Covid but Lobectomy!
    Hope you’re okay
