Hi all
I know there is a lot of worry over the new C bomb being dropped all over the place. This thread is being set up to keep that word off this particular thread to help people that are possibly in self isolation.
So I think we should kick it off we should post our favourite place or places to visit. We may be restricted on where we can travel, but we can go anywhere in people's pictures
I will leave it open till end of Friday then pass the batton on to someone else to open a new post on this thread, first suggestion first served, something of interest to them. If nothing posted by 10am Saturday, I will re put my thinking cap back on.
So I guess I should post a picture or two to start it off.
Jersey beach view
Well here’s my 4 - just because I like them
A place in the sun - Stevie Wonder
Hungry heart - Bruce Springsteen
Silhouette - Tom Odell
Lady Soul - The Temptations
No doubt you’ve got a list as long as your arm
Luther Vandross....never too much
Ike and Tina Turner.... proud Mary
The carpenters.....close to you
Bread......If
Quite a mixture
You are right. I have so many songs. I use the Deezer app on my phone and add any favourites to it as I go, which then influences the type of music it picks out and plays for you. I think I have quite a varied taste from Country to Reggae to pop to rock and R&B.
I will cheat though and do a copy and paste my profile on some of the tunes that have meant more to me from previously or since I joined here. It's usually the lyrics that get me but of course the tune has to be good too.
I hope you enjoyed your dancing about Julie and the indigestion isn't too bad.
Hopefully others may add theirs too
Paramore - Hard Times
Dan Owen - Icarus
Pink - Just like a pill
Sia - Alive
Duke Dumont - Ocean Drive
James Arthur - Impossible
Tadhg Daly - Stuck In The Middle
X ambassador - Unsteady
Linkin Park - Tried so hard
Sampha - Blood on me
Last resort - Papa Roach
Jason Derula - Want to want me
Sharkira - Las de la intuition
Dermot Kennedy - Power over me
Pink - Love me anyway
Rascal Flatts - What hurts the most
Kygo & Whitney Houston -Higher Love
Bruno Mars - It will rain
Freya Ridings - Lost without you
Quindon Tarver - When Doves Cry
Boy Meets Girl - Waiting for A Star To Fall
My plan for tomorrow Gina, is to play your list in the order you have posted through Alexa.
Mission accepted
Love that idea Chelle check you out having an Alexa... I am too tight to pay for it.... so I added the list to a playlist on YouTube for free
Let me know what you think... as I say, certain songs remind me of certain stages of treatment etc.... Just like a pill reminds me of chemotherapy and the ward staff in Southampton... very apt for a couple I met...
My other half talks to Alexa more than he does me. Asks her how her days been, and says good night to her. He’s very strange
Thank you Gina, we all had fun bopping around to your play list this morning. Only one criticism, When Doves cry should only be sung by prince....
Our favourite was a clear winner by us all, Duke Dumont - Ocean Drive.
Awww glad you all had fun
I'll take that, there are a few versions of it, but I specifically like the Romeo and Juliet remix of it where it starts off slow like the original by prince and then the beat and tempo pics up.
Duke Dumont gets me every time, you can't resist to grooving along to it. I miss going out in my car and playing it at high volume.
I facetimed my nieces earlier. I managed to make 2 out of the 5 cry.... my Easter is complete the baby and the almost 4 year old. The oldest one was like a typical not saying much teen. The almost two year old was the most chatty. Was lovely to see them.
