Hello All

I thought about setting up a thread for us all to use to chat about various stuff across, so it's all in one place and newer members posts not getting pushed down and off the discussion front page before getting an answer.

I hope you are all doing well and not too stuffed on easter eggs?

I have not eaten mine yet! I went to bed friday night not feeling well and woke up Saturday with a horrid migraine throwing my guts up Disappointed usually I fall asleep and sleep it off. Not so, I ended up going to the OOH doctor Sunday afternoon as was still throwing up Disappointed He gave me some lotions and potions and still not right yet. Though haven't thrown up for a few hours now. I going to try and eat something soon (not easter eggys) to see if I can manage that and see if it makes me feel better. I hate being ill! Especially on a bank holiday weekend with such nice weather. I was so looking forward to it and I have slept most of it away.

  • Had progress scans done on Monday.  There's no sign of lymphoma and my lung lesion has shrunk by another centimetre, so it's officially a nodule now, rather than a mass.

Covid restrictions are really starting to get to people here.  I can't imagine how much worse it is for those of you in the UK.

That is great news Lolie xxxx

  • Fantastic news Lolie. We certainly need to hear good news like this.

Covid here is extremely scary. I don't know what its like for other parts of the country, but here in the south, our hospitals are struggling. I started shielding at the end of February last year, so its nearly a year of being indoors, with very little out doors time. I just pray this will be over soon, we are all missing out on valuable time with loved ones.

  • We're allowed to have 5 people in our homes and it being summer makes social distancing outdoors easy.  Of course some people held large family gatherings over Christmas and that led to some big clusters.

I've been continuing to shield because I have a new grandchild due next week.

  • A new grandchild is very exciting news.
The restrictions here are tough. We are not allowed in each others houses, although my neighbours have visitors tonight, very frustrating. You can meet one person outside, if you are exercising. The weather isn’t helping. Many places have had snow. It’s hard to stay positive sometimes.

  • Lolie that’s very good news. Covid restrictions here are crippling but then our situation is dire with so many in hospital, cases rising - awful xx

  • Lolie great news about new grand child. It brings such joy. It is as Chelle said really tough here and when you’re not seeing those you love and then see neighbours having visitors it frustrating

best wishes for that new baby xx

    Hi Lolle

    Great news for you.

Its hard but hoping things will get better.Hard being in  limbo with treatment but at least we have these vaccines and hope is the best medicine.

    Hello Big Al

Just wanted to say welcome and I was sorry to read about your daughter,I can’t even know how hard that is for you and your wife.

    Stay safe everyone Hibiscus

  • Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. I've found this week tough with lockdown. I don't know why, its not been any different than any other week. I do have some good news. I suffer terribly with Tinnitus Apparently it is a common side effect with my hormone treatment. Some nights it is quite unbearable. Today I received what are called calming ear buds. Some people have reported that their tinnitus has been improved with these, but they say that it needs 24 hours for your ears to adjust to the buds. Well I've been wearing them for a few hours now, and the left ear is still ringing, although it is much quieter, the right ear it has almost stopped.  I can't believe it. I hope it continues to improve. fingers crossed.

How's things where you all are? I hope no one is effected by the floods? Any one got a date for the vaccine yet?
