Hello All
I thought about setting up a thread for us all to use to chat about various stuff across, so it's all in one place and newer members posts not getting pushed down and off the discussion front page before getting an answer.
I hope you are all doing well and not too stuffed on easter eggs?
I have not eaten mine yet! I went to bed friday night not feeling well and woke up Saturday with a horrid migraine throwing my guts up usually I fall asleep and sleep it off. Not so, I ended up going to the OOH doctor Sunday afternoon as was still throwing up
He gave me some lotions and potions and still not right yet. Though haven't thrown up for a few hours now. I going to try and eat something soon (not easter eggys) to see if I can manage that and see if it makes me feel better. I hate being ill! Especially on a bank holiday weekend with such nice weather. I was so looking forward to it and I have slept most of it away.
Thank you Gina - scan went fine, but still can't get rid of the uneasy feeling. Hope you have made time for a spree, and that meds etc. enables you to get back to work if that's what you want to do. Think you are right not to put your knitting skills on Tinder, but am sure you have other attributes far more worthy of inclusion haha
hi gina. feeling good hope it last s . one of my daughters has been sensible with the money i gave them. booked family holiday for he 25th anniversary. omg i feel old
Hi gina
when do you start your immunotherapy? Nice to see you’re keeping busy xx
Hi gina
when do you start your immunotherapy? Nice to see you’re keeping busy xx
Hi Gina
hope your treatment went well for you and you are feeling ok. I'm impressed with your knitting, I like knitting but only knit baby clothes, I get fed up when doing anything bigger - too impatient. No shopping for me yet, I've had a cold, well I've had something and whatever it is it's gone to my chest so it's steroids for me. I did go out last Saturday, took the dog to the groomers, not really the best time but she was getting desperate, just one big knot, so then of course I had to go and buy her a coat, the guilt was so much she ended up with a new collar, a new lead, a new bed and of course her coat, I think she's just about forgiven me now.
Oh look at her, she looks beautiful.
Gina I’m very impressed with your knitting. I’m not very good, but did start a jumper for my doggie last year, maybe I need to get it back out and try some more.
Hello just diagnosed last week and having my biopsy on Monday. How are you getting on?
Hi all,
Julie she looks gorgeous . I would love to have a dog , just need to get through the chemo and lose some of this fatigue before I will be fit enough to walk one lol.
Gina you are very talented , I wouldn't be able to knit like that , although I probably wouldn't add it to your dating profile lol.
Darlo . how nice a family holiday for your daughter, will you be going with them and help them celebrate.
Hope you're all doing well and have a good weekend.
I'm going out with my sister to a garden centre for a change of scene, haven't been on my spending spree yet , maybe next week.
Consultant appointment on Tuesday and then 5th cycle of chemo on Thursday next week.
take care all
Karen xxxx
I like it Johnboy little charmer
Darlo that sounds like a very nice plan to treat themselves. Awww gosh, just think. I would have been 11 when they married
Nel hello - I started the immunotherapy Friday 17th and so far so good. I was quite sleepy on the Sunday and have had mild sort of tightness pains in general around the body. Must go back to the hospice physio. Also a slight odd taste in the mouth for a couple of days and erm (sorry TMI) been itchy. So I think I have thrush again. But other than that been really good on it. I will post a full update once I have finished the cycle to give an idea on how it went.
Julie! How gorgeous does your pooch look with her new jacket! I think doggy shopping counts as a very worthy shopping spree. I don't blame you about the knitting big things... it is probably why I didn't finish it the first time.
Ahh the joys of steroids! I hope they are working and you have cleared the cold.
Chelle aww definitely get it back out, it's freezing at the moment. Brrr, plus Julie has laid the bar for doggy coats there.
Baloo For me I am doing well at the moment. I hope the others are too.
My palliative nurse is back yay! We are meeting on Thursday, she has been away for at least three months. Her stand ins are lovely but I really connect with my own, so will be lovely to catch up with her. I may even offer her a cuppa and get some biscuits in, in case I can tempt her.
So clearing out that wardrobe is this weekend's mission and maybe a small spree next week.
Sorry Karen, I didn't mean to miss you out, I think we started composing at the same time there.
Thank you, lol ok I will keep it off for now then
Hope you and your sister enjoy the garden centre. Maybe a slice of cake whilst you are there should be factored in?
Good luck for the consultant and the chemotherapy. Whilst it seems never ending at the time, it sure does whizz by.
