Hello All

I thought about setting up a thread for us all to use to chat about various stuff across, so it's all in one place and newer members posts not getting pushed down and off the discussion front page before getting an answer.

I hope you are all doing well and not too stuffed on easter eggs?

I have not eaten mine yet! I went to bed friday night not feeling well and woke up Saturday with a horrid migraine throwing my guts up Disappointed usually I fall asleep and sleep it off. Not so, I ended up going to the OOH doctor Sunday afternoon as was still throwing up Disappointed He gave me some lotions and potions and still not right yet. Though haven't thrown up for a few hours now. I going to try and eat something soon (not easter eggys) to see if I can manage that and see if it makes me feel better. I hate being ill! Especially on a bank holiday weekend with such nice weather. I was so looking forward to it and I have slept most of it away.

  • Hi

i once again seem unable to reach everyone on an updated thread. Trust you are all well. I’m still on the trial and doing good, praise Gid

  • Hi Nel, lovely to hear from you. I am glad things are going well on the trial. We have just got back from a lovely week in Walton on the Naze, where we stayed in a caravan close to the beach. It was lovely to have early morning strolls with the dog along the sand. Now back home to a pile of washing and ironing.

  • Hi Chelle

that sounds lovely. The worst part of any time away from home is coming back to the washing!

we had booked Portugal on a small refund from flights we had to cancel to Antigua last year due to my health and the day before we were due to fly Boris announced the amber list so cancelled once again. Never mind we did get to Weymouth for a few days.

    thanks for your reply.

    xx

  • Hi again Chelle

so does everyone still use the chatty thread? I can’t seem to find any up to date conversations?
    xx

  • We do occasionally come back here. I try and add things to keep it bumped up, back it has not been the same since we lost but lovely Gina. I haven't heard from for some time, but I expect will come along and say hello to you. xx

  • Hi Chelle

ah that’s sad. It has been A nice little place to pop in and keep up with people even though I’ve been not often here Myself. I very much hope that those who no longer post are well. I was for a while on Facebook forums like lung cancer U.K. and the one that includes the US but I found myself on it too much and dr used it was not serving me  well as not all are positive.

i like this website more. Poor Gina. Often I think of her. Didn’t expect her to be gone so soon.

keep in touch and lovely to hear from you. I will dip into the lung cancer thread as that seems to be the most used now. Is that right xx

  • Nel it is so lovely to have you back xx

Hi nel & Chelle so this is where you hang out,  posted a question yesterday about whether or not it's ok to take codliver oil when on chemo?  Who knows? So I just keep slurping it each day. Thumbsup

  • Hi Shedman, I saw your post last night about the cod liver oil. I put a link to the ask a nurse page, because in all honesty I don’t know the answer to that.  I know that because my cancer is hormone dependent, I have to be careful with any supplements I take as some do have oestrogen in them, a big no no for me.
