Hello All
I thought about setting up a thread for us all to use to chat about various stuff across, so it's all in one place and newer members posts not getting pushed down and off the discussion front page before getting an answer.
I hope you are all doing well and not too stuffed on easter eggs?
I have not eaten mine yet! I went to bed friday night not feeling well and woke up Saturday with a horrid migraine throwing my guts up usually I fall asleep and sleep it off. Not so, I ended up going to the OOH doctor Sunday afternoon as was still throwing up
He gave me some lotions and potions and still not right yet. Though haven't thrown up for a few hours now. I going to try and eat something soon (not easter eggys) to see if I can manage that and see if it makes me feel better. I hate being ill! Especially on a bank holiday weekend with such nice weather. I was so looking forward to it and I have slept most of it away.
Allen I am so sorry you have had a rough time and you have been in and out of hospital. Memory loss is a terrible thing, it brings a lot of frustration. But please know that you have not upset anyone here at anytime. I have always welcomed your posts in the knowledge that you and your good wife are doing ok. I have worried about you both because of covid and I know you are in USA but don’t know how it has effected you there.
Please do not refrain from posting. This is the best place to come with people who know what you are going through. Whether that is just to say hi, to tell of your day, or to have a good rant and get things off your chest. We welcome you, I welcome you and look forward to hearing from you again x
Dear Al
Our lovely disease has a habit of doing that stuff...
Shit happens! We get over it & anyway, that's what this place is for!!!
Welcome back & be a part of our community but... remember the old adage - measure twice & cut once!!! Hahaha!
Hi Allen,
Nice to hear from you again but sorry you’ve had a stay in hospital, hopefully you feel a bit better after your stay. I spoke to you a few weeks ago and was beginning to wonder if that was the reason you hadn’t been on for a while, I can be a bit of a bossy boots at times you’ve caused no upsetment to anyone here and it’s good that you’ve found this post - lung chatty thread - this is a little corner of the group where anyone can come for a chat, just everyday things away from cancer, my usual topic of conversation is the amount of weeds in my garden, all topics get covered including our choice of tipple for the evening. Hopefully we will hear from you again, we’ll get round the issue that you are getting up as we are all going to bed. Hope your wife is doing OK
Take care
Well a week that was! Monday did not start well. I woke with a blinding head ache. Waved other half and daughter off to work, and then started being sick. Next thing I knew, I'm coming too on the bathroom floor. Other half rushed home, took one look at me gasping for air, and called an ambulance. They were there in speedy time, my other half was still on the phone to the operator, when she said the ambulance is outside.
After a few days of rest I am nearly back to "my normal" but just feel like it has been a waste of a week because all I have done is sleep.
Hope you have all had a better week x
Chelle that sounds frightening and awful. What caused that?
anyway glad you’re back up and runningxx
No idea Nel, all they could find was my heart was racing, and that took a while for it to settle. I had to have quite a lot of anti sickness until that eventually stopped.
Lovely to hear from you Nel. Hope you are ok xx
Gosh how strange but at least they’ve checked it all out. Yes thank you I’m good. Praying the trial continues to work wonders
These things are sent to try us.
I am glad you are getting on well with the trial. Xx
So sorry you’ve been under the weather Chelle, I hope you’re feeling more like yourself now. It’s a bit scary that you were on your own when it happened but luckily resolved well! Hopefully just a one off!
All the best to you.
Fi x
