Hi all, i have been diagnosed with carcenoid lung cancer, and am awaiting a date.for surgery.
Can anyone tell me if this humid hot weather makes you cough more. The last 2 days have been coughing a lot more and making my chest really ache.
Hello Rodders,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having a problem with coughing. I vaguely recall when I had treatment for lung cancer back in the summer of 2014 my cough became worse with warm humid weather.
However, as this is bothering you I'd suggest talking with your treatment people to ensure there's no underlying problem that needs looking at. They can probably also give you something to ease things for you.

I havent actually had any treatment. When i first went to the doctors, my gp prescribed me an inhaler. It was thought at that stage possibly copd. When i got the cancer diagnosis, the team said i dont need the inhaler, so took it off prescription. I still have the inhaler, so am tempted to.just try it. Thankyou for replying so quickly.
Hi Rodders, the heat and the dry air makes my cough worse. I use a humidifier at night next to my bed to put some moisture back in the air, it seems to help.
