Had to stop immunotherapy because breathing bad was a side effect after a few months doing well was on steroids got better quickly but after coming if them within a few days I was struggling again with coughing and breathing now waiting for scan back on steroids and feeling better but feeling sick my lungs sound very noisy scared now as waiting for scans can anyone say if they have had similar problems to help me not to be so worried.
Hi
Sorry to hear you have been having problems with treatment. I have no experience of immunotherapy or steroid treatment, my lung cancer was treated with radiotherapy alone. I'm sure someone who has experienced side effects on immunotherapy will reply to help with your query.
Best wishes.
Ann
No he didn’t go back on immunotherapy as his immune system was overloaded and the oncologist said he didn’t need any more.
it did make him very ill for a few weeks and he was diagnosed with pneumonia and so was put on antibiotics. He slept a great deal. The oncologist observed his blood tests every week.
Now he is on once a month monitoring and is gardening and playing golf. He still tries to sleep during the day for an hour.
