My mum was diagnosed with lung cancer last year, she’s recieved treatment of radiotherapy as she also has stage 4 kidney disease so couldn’t have chemo. Since having the treatment watching her decline has been awful. She’s currently house bound and bed bound… the amount of weight she has lost is concerning as she wasn’t a very big lady to start with. Her eating has gotten worse and she’s now fed up of the drinks she’s been prescribed. She gets her results on the 31st to see if the treatments worked but she’s so weak and unwell  don’t even think she can get there or that even we can get her there. Her family have tried their very best to support her and help her at home but they don’t really know how to help. I’m her daughter I’m 31 and have mental health issues myself and don’t live with my mum, I’m now also at a loss as to what I can do to help her. She’s had railings put around her home to help her get around and she’s been given walking aids. The burning she once was suffering with has subsided but nothing seems to be getting better. I’m really at a loss as to what I should or could do. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it. Her home isn’t very habitable has she smokes in it and its at the point all the walls are yellow and dusty. I have tried cleaning it but it makes a small difference and not the big one I need for her. She’s fallen depressed and is really struggling. I’m at the point I’m scared to go to her home and see her because my anxiety and bpd can’t understand why she is left in this position. I just don’t know what to do anymore.
