My husband has an in-dwelling drain but we are finding that since treatment has started the fluid is drying up. Has anyone else had this experience and if so were you able to have the drain removed? If so, was this a simple procedure and has your fluid returned. Any information/advice would be welcome.
Hi, I had an in-dwelling drain fitted for 7 months.
Once my oncologist was 110% happy that the fluid was completely dried out I had it removed.
Simply, a day in hospital, in whip it out and home in time for tea.
Thankfully no fluid has returned 
Just ask your oncologist.
