First I must thank all on this forum but especially Chillesimo….we went into my husbands’ first appointment on the Fast Diagnosis Pathway this morning better prepared than what we would have been.
Despite the appointment letter stating it was for a respiratory check it turned out to be a full blown first appointment with the head lady herself! The lung capacity check is being booked by her and she is getting the images from husbands private MRI sent direct to her hospital for her attention. We were introduced to the assigned clinical nurse and are now waiting for the wheels to roll and gain momentum. That thought in itself is such progress and stress reducing. A plus point was that she made sure my husband spoke with her and not through me. Think he now knows that he is the key person to move his journey forward while I am there alongside him every step of the way. I’m even hoping that he will read this forum in due course as so far I have printed off information given by Chellesimo for him to read and take in.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart….may you all keep up the good fight together.
