Good morning everyone
Had my routine chest & abdo scan 3 weeks ago. Had results letter from consultant last week. Several small nodules in lungs, possibly inflammation elsewhere. But radiologist has recommended repeat CT in three months which my consultant has arranged.
It will be 5 years come December 30th 2025 since I had my upper R lobectomy for adenocarcinoma, chest infections at least every couple of months
Should I be concerned ?
Hi Indian
The simple answer is 'No'
Post treatment a number of small nodules were found in my lung, and I was monitored for several years. When discussing nodules with one of my Consultants he told me the following; if every adult in the UK was given a full body scan, the vast majority would be found to have at least one harmless nodule somewhere in their body.
Trust the Radiologist's opinion; they are the experts at spotting any areas of concern. You will monitored on a regular basis. so put this to the back of your mind and get on with your life.

Thank you kegsy, the only thing niggling in my mind was that is how they found my original cancer, but you've helped ease my concerns
Good morning lovely people.
2nd CT scan on 17 April this tear (R upper lobectomy Dec. 2022) recent scan has shown my middle lobe is compressed. Having bronchial lavage on the 23rd May. Letter to GP from consultant described it as possible middle lobe syndrome, GP unsure what this is. Regular chest infections but one in December this year & a few weeks ago really floored me. Throat is quite raw & my voice is quite hoarse. Anyone able to suggest any ideas on what's going on with me ?
Thank you, the only reason I was worried was, that's how they found my original cancerous nodule. I was reassured by my lovely consultant, that these are common & may not even show in my next scan. 6 months later it had doubled in size. Positive result on Pet scan 2 weeks later & R upper lobectomy 6 weeks later. But you have reassured me Kegsy, thank you

Hi Indian,
I've just got back the results of a nodule and cysts being found in my lung in Late January following a CT scan for my heart. After 2 biopsies, they have concluded I do not have cancerous cells in there. While it will be different for each of us, I wanted to share an example where I was initially told it was expected I had cancer and now it is hopefully just inflammation, but definitely not cancer.
