Hello, I had a cat scan last week on chest, abdomen and neck…I have secondary lung cancer and was given ct scan to make sure no spread before surgery, I noticed I have a swollen lymph node and got my neck included in scan….i got results yesterday telling me no spread and also no sign of any swollen lymph node in neck…I am now very worried as I can clearly feel the node and it’s making my face numb at times and I’m getting constant headaches ( hopefully the headache is just through stress) ….i have been googling and keep coming across lymphoma….i am going to Doctors tomorrow to hopefully get either another scan or something to put my mind at rest, I can’t understand why it didn’t show on ct scan , it’s definitely here and as I say can feel pressure on side of face through nerves ….anyone had similar and what was outcome ??? Thank you in advance to any replies.

  • Hi  the ct scan sounds very reassuring, but sorry you feel like you have this lymph node. You are going through a very stressful time at the moment so I am not surprised you are getting headaches. You do need to stop googling your symptoms though, doctor Google is not our friend! It will just make you worry more than you are already. I hope your doctor can put your mind at rest tomorrow.

  • Hiya chellesimo, I was checked by the Doctor yesterday morning and was told the lymph node is fine ( however im very aware that it’s there and cannot help but keep touching it..I need to stop) ..I also got a phone call to come in for a pre-op assessment today and all being well will be getting surgery to remove a lobe in my right lung, been a long wait…….ive also read your journey…wow you’ve been through the mill…..hope you keep getting positive results, thank you for replying x
