Dad 83 diagnosed today - no treatment advised

first i am sorry to hear of your dad's diagnosis but that they are not aware of what it is.  In your shoes I would want to speak to the consultant or a member of the team and find out exactly what the position is so you can help.  Your Dad would need to give consent Im guessing but you can telephone the macmillan nurse line they are very helpful and have lots of inofrmation and ask them how you go about requesting the information. I would guess a phone call would suffice once your Dad gives authority and perhaps there is treatment that would help him.  there is so much on offer now and don't give up hope because there are marvellous treatments and maybe you can ask for a 2nd opinion. I know that is what I would do.
