I am having palliative care as I am not able to have chemo or radio therapy as I am not well enough
i am ok but I didn’t /couldn’t ask the question “how long”. I know it’s a very difficult question.
I am aware that this is an impossible question to answer but I do need a rough idea, like will I be here for spring, summer, later?
my son is iabroad and I have not discussed my end of life with him as I don’t want him to come home urgently if I am still going to be here in4 April when he returns. Is there I was I can get more information.. just an approximation would be wonderful.
thank you in advance
Hi Lilybongo I am really sorry to hear that you are having palliative care. When it comes to time estimates, the only person who can answer this for you is your oncologist. You would really need to speak to someone in your medical team about this.
I’m the same got my answer from the oncologist doctor he’s the one who can answer your question as we are all individuals,
Thinking of you it’s a tough time xx
Hi, I'm so sorry to hear of your situation. I do agree that your oncologist is the only person to answer your question.
I was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal lung cancer in May 2023 and my oncologist gave my prognosis of 5 years but everyone is different so speak to your oncologist.
I really hope you have some support and wish you all the best.
Take care.
Annette
