End of life care

Hi Ellasmum  I am so sorry to hear your news. Nobody wants to be told this. I am devastated for you. Do you have anyone at home to support you at the moment ? 

So sorry to hear your sad news, do you have anyone to talk to  before telling the children?How do you explain that the disease has won to spite treatment even Drs find that difficult. You must be  devastated in your situation I would want to scream this is not fair to the world. There are no words to help such devastating news. Look after yourself  as best you can , do you have any last wishes ? Mine is to be at home when the time comes if possible.  Hopefully your time left will be peaceful and you will be able to share every moment with your children.My heart goes out to you.

That is cruel after all your efforts to fight the disease. But you are far more valuable than any disease or prognosis and I sincerely hope that you can get your mind into a place where you can feel calm, loved and valuable. It might help to be frank about the situation so your children can help and support you.

Hello all I’m still here and still fighting on, i spent two weeks in St John’s hospice who where magnificent and sorted out my pain management and organised me to have a lung drain, I was so devastated at my last oncology meeting that I asked for a second opinion, which iv just had and iv been told I’m well enough to have some more chemo , just waiting on scans, so should start around may, fingers crossed
