My mum was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer today. Came as a shock as she has been having scans every 3 months since last year. They said it got worse during december but how can it get to stage 4? Been crying and lost appetite today. Don’t know what to do I don’t want to lose my mum the survival rates look horrible and we have to wait a few more weeks to find out a treatment plan.
Hi there, just wanted to reach out. My mum was diagnosed last year. Like you I couldn’t stop crying, lost my appetite, struggled to sleep. I found the waiting for various appointments and results the hardest. Once we had a treatment plan in place it became somewhat easier to deal with.
You say your mum was having regular scans. Were they monitoring something and it’s turned into something more serious?
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
