My partner has stage 4 lung cancer. He finished treatment a few months ago, chemotherapy and immunotherapy. His last scan showed the tumor had shrunk. He has been doing well apart from problems with his mouth.... Ulcers, sores, white glue like substance and extremely dry. He can't get a dentist! Then, he thought he had the flu, but tested positive for covid! He is very anxious and worried. Has anyone else experienced this or any advice? Thanks.
Hi Lydi have you contacted 111 about your partner having covid. There are anti virals that he can have which really do help with the symptoms.
Hello Lydi,
I had really bad mouth ulcers and sores when I had chemo. I didn't go to a dentist but got my GP to prescribe something to deal with the problem. I don't know whether you've tried this route, but if not it could be useful for your partner if not.
I do hope you can get something sorted out very soon, he shouldn't have to put up with this.
