Hello All,

While speaking with the Macmillan Lung Cancer Specialist Nurse on Thursday, I was informed that my PD-L1 results showed less than 1% and that Immunotherapy would not be suitable.

I am now awaiting an appointment to speak with an oncologist to see where we go from here.

Take Care,
Bob

  • Hi Bob, I am sorry to hear that. I hope the appointment comes through soon for you.

  • Hi Bob just to say my Mum’s PD-L1 levels are the same but she has been offered immunotherapy and chemo. It’s worth asking your oncologist why you can’t have it with chemo?

  • Hi Lujo,

I received a phone call at 9am this morning asking if I could fill a cancellation with the consultant; I was seen at 11am.

This Chemo+Immunotherapy was discussed but it was said that it can be quite damaging for some and only extends life for a short time.

I will be starting radiotherapy for 5 sessions quite soon but this is only to relieve a painful area where muscle is involved.

Best Wishes for your Mum's way forward.

  • My father was told he wasn't eligible for immunotherapy because he is too high risk - he had a sever reaction last year to it and ended up with a collapsed lung and pneumanitis, so can't have it again.
