Hi to all in this forum I am looking for insurance to go on holiday my husband has lung cancer that have shrunk we just need a break from all this
Hi Phillips and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm not a member of this group, but the title of your post caught my eye.
Unfortunately, it can be more difficult to find travel insurance when you've had a cancer diagnosis so can I recommend that you join us over in the travel insurance group where you'll find recommendations from others who have been successful. Once you've joined look for the thread called 'recommended travel insurance' as this is where the majority of recommendations are.
It is probably best to phone the insurance companies, rather than try and do online quotes, as often at the end of the online quote it will tell you to phone the company and you'll then have to go through all the information again. Also, sometimes the broker can refer to the underwriters to see if they would provide cover when an online quote might just give you a straight refusal.
I hope this helps

HI , I am also trying to get a break away, my husband has incurable bowel cancer and has been on chemo for 6.5 months so needs a break. He also has prostate cancer which is very much under control and had a mini stroke a couple of years ago . We have insurance for the last 2 and have previously travelled but I am concerned about getting insurance for this prognosis. I tried to click on your link but didnt work . Can you help to get me to the group. thank you .
HI Muffin break, I have just replied to Latch brook as I am having problems getting onto his suggested site. I am new to this forum and also trying to get my Husband away , He has incurable bowel cancer . We spoke to the consultants about this and she said she would be able to accomodate us. I have contacted Insure cancer and they were very good and will need to consultant and get scans. I am now going through my list and will give all clear a call . How did you find them ? Hope you are looking forward to your holiday in Crete .
Hiya 253 I found them OK told them I had SCLC and what chemo I was on and that my consultant was happy for me to go on holiday. They didn't ask for letters from hospital either. It's quite funny £700 for me and £22 for my wife. Hope you get on OK finding insurance
Hi 253
I'm sorry that you are having trouble with the link to the travel insurance forum that I gave in my reply to Phillips. I have checked my original link and it does work but have included it again in my reply to you.
If you have any further problems please get back to me.
HI Muffin, We have an appointment with the consultant next week and a scan , she has said the she can accomodate us with the travel but my husbands cancer is incurable, terminal the last scan had reasonable results as some of the tumour had redused . I think we are going to have to get letters from the hospital because of the time scales with him .
HI Latchbrook, Thankyou I have got into the forum with your link. I have seen similiar mails to mine mentioning terminal cancer and insurance cover . The information is 9 months ago and I am concerned on getting in touch with the people who sent the reply.
