Good morning everyone

dont often post as I feel I have a lot to be thankful for. No chemo/radio needed after R upper lobectomy dec. 2021.

I take a lot of chest infections, but have pre existing asthma. I also have osteoporosis. Recently broke the pinkie knuckle on my R hand (didn’t realise it was broken for 2 weeks !) June of this year tripped over & fractured my wrist on my R hand, having physio to help regain movement ) I have had lower back pain radiating down my R leg into my foot GP thought was definitely sacro iliac pain & prescribed amitrptilline 10mg at night. X ray showed no significant abnormalities . Woke up at 2.30am with severe lower back pain radiating down both legs

legs , painful getting up from chair & walking with legs hip width apart due to pain. Anyone know if this could be anything to do with original CA diagnosis ? Terrified of going into shower unless my husbands here in case I fall !!

  • Hi Indian I am really sorry to hear that you have this back pain. I really don’t know what can be causing this, but I do know you shouldn’t be suffering in pain! If you are not getting any joy from the GP, then contact your oncology team, or do you have a consultant for the osteoporosis?

  • Thank you chellismo

hardly able to walk this morning, will contact GP on Monday . This is the worst it’s been

    Good morning lovely people.

2nd CT scan on 17 April this tear (R upper lobectomy Dec. 2022) recent scan has shown my middle lobe is compressed. Having bronchial lavage on the 23rd May. Letter to GP from consultant described it as possible middle lobe syndrome,  GP unsure what this is. Regular chest infections but one in December this year & a few weeks ago really floored me. Throat is quite raw & my voice is quite hoarse. Anyone able to suggest any ideas on what's going on with me ?

  • I am sorry to hear that, if the pain increases do call 111, they may be able to send a GP out to your home.

  • Waiting for a call back from GP, hate bothering them & I’m sure it’s just TMB (to many birthdays) but really limiting my movement
