Hi alwayslate, sorry to hear that you have had chemo postponed due to blood issues. I haven’t had immunotherapy myself, but I know it is not as harsh as chemo. Hope everything goes well for you on Monday.
Hello Always late
I had my chemotherapy delayed a couple of times due to blood results not being at acceptable levels. I had a delay of 6 weeks, try not to worry they will come to the required levels hopefully soon. When I discussed the delay with my nurse she explain that my treatment was working very well on me and that was why it was taking time for my bloods to get to required levels. Turned out she was right because when I had my scan to check if my treatment was working my tumour had shrunk, so happy days. It's tempting to think delays in treatment are a negative thing, sometimes the opposite it true.
I am currently on cycle 28 of my immunotherapy treatment and my cancer is stable, so as I've said try not to worry things will get back on track. If you want to read about my journey just tap my avatar and please let me assure you the treatment delay did not harm me at all.
Have a lovely weekend
Donna
