Hi
I had adenocarcinoma in lung 5 years ago, had middle lobectomy. 5 years of clear scans.
Expecting my 5 year all clear and they have found it has spread to one lymph node and nowhere else.
I am having sabre radiation on this node. I have not been offered adjuvant treatment yet. being saved for later?
no curative words used.
does anyone have experience of this. I though adding Chemo or immunotherapy helped stop it come back again.
would pay, if reason is a one go on nhs thing, because of funding.
Hi , sorry to hear of your recurrance , I know exactly how you are feeling as I too have reacurrance after they removed part of my lung that the cancer was in , I don't know what " sabre radiation " is , I had radiotherapy on my recurrance and my first scan is next week and will see oncologist next month for results , like you I want things to move faster but I hope and guess they know what they are doing, apparently the radiotherapy still works for a while after treatment ends that's why I had to wait for the scan . Sending you all my best wishes that everything works out for you x
