My post chemo PET scan was done 6 weeks after I finished chemo. My post rads CT was done a few weeks after I finished radiotherapy and repeated two months later.
Some people are scanned during their chemotherapy and others aren't. The best people to ask about when you'll have an idea of how well your dad's treatment is working are his treatment team.
