Hi All

Will give an intro then have some questions.. Slight smile

My dad was diagnosed with advanced stage 3 lung cancer in January and we have been told it is incurable alongside heart failure he has had since May.

From what i can tell most people get to start with chemo/radiation therapy however he has been put straight onto immunotherapy- which I have been told alone doesn't have an overly high success rate.

He is aged 60, and prior to all this was a fit healthy man. He is now at the stage where he can't do anything. This what confuses me as I have seen people with Stage 4 continuing their daily life. He can't walk more than 5m, sometimes standing up is an impossible task in itself. He has lost 30kg.

Did anyone else in this position struggle like this? He only leaves the house to go to hospital appointments and will just spend his day sat on the sofa with no energy to move, I just wanted some clarification from others re how they/friend/family member were in a similar position. His struggle seems far too much compared to others i have seen, but i may be wrong- i am just after some reassurance or answers.. not really sure.

Thank you for reading and thank you if you do answer xx
