Our world has just stopped it was such a lot to the in at once we have been waiting for the call for a biopsy to determine treatment it finally came he goes next week im just wondering if anyone else here k ows any more about treatment  outcome etc I can't sleep my mind is going over all the time how long does he have can I do it trying to think day by day but so hard.

  • Hi prijik welcome to the group, but so sorry to hear your news. It really is devastating when you hear a loved one has cancer. There are so many treatments now for lung cancer, and which treatment your husband receives really does depend on the biopsy result. This does take time though, so I am sorry you may be in for a bit if a wait to get these results.

I can understand that you may not be able to think of anything else at the moment. This really is a stressful time for you both. Do you have a Macmillan centre or a Maggie’s nearby, these are usually close to the hospital. These are really good places to go for support for yourself as well as your husband. You can also chat to someone on the Macmillan support line, which is open 7 days a week from 8am until 8pm on 0808 808 00 00.

Please do let us know how your husband gets on.
