We have received a letter from previous oncologist appointment and the Diagnosis reads as T3N3mx/0 small cell lung cancer.
we understand most of the ratings. Had the vast majority explained and understand fully the situation and what is ahead of us.
But we are confused about the ‘mx/0’part.
can anyone help or explain why the doctor has written this and what it means.
many thanks
DorisLydia
Hi, here is something I found on Google (probably not the best place to look but sometimes all we have) probably worth asking for clarification at your next appointment. Good luck with your journey x
MX: Metastasis cannot be measured. M0: Cancer has not spread to other parts of the body. M1: Cancer has spread to other parts of the body.
That is correct, cancer is contained to lung and has not metastasised to any other part of the body.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
