Morning everyone. Just jumping on to give update on mum. She had her lung biopsy Wednesday now the dreaded wait which is so hard. She is doing fine and to look at her she looks so well but I know like us all we can put a face on but we are crumbling inside. I have been on Google so many times (I know I shouldn’t) but I try to see what hope there is out there as the prognosis doesn’t look good which terrifies me. Mum has 4cm lesion on lung and the ct showed mets in pelvic area. This was diagnosed on 22nd nov. The doctor did say they could treat they did mention a tablet but didn’t give a name but I see that immunotherapy seems to get mentioned quite a bit online and seems to get good results. Is anyone in similar position and on this treatment? thank you. I just wanted to say also this group has kept me going the last few weeks and I’m grateful it’s here. Thanks again
Hi Binijac the wait really is the worst bit. The fear of the unknown and what may lay ahead. Your head does go into overdrive, and it is all you can think about. But please, do not google anymore! The internet really is so outdated, there are so many more treatments now that just were not around a few years ago, and people are living much longer with lung cancer than they ever were. x
Hi there , this horrible waiting time is so scary but please don’t google anything , it’s so out of date … if you want to research information then use this site or the Roy castle site … meanwhile I would wait to see what the results of the biopsy is and take it from there … there are so many treatments now as Chelle said so don’t get too disheartened love Elly x
