Hi all T4 with secondaries.
After horrible weeks of miss diagnoses, told 3 weeks ago by my Professor Oncologist.
50% chance of treatment (chemo) working to hold.
50% chance of making cancer worse.
It would be weeks after Chemo before outcome was known.
100 % Chemo would make me very ill.
I chose no treatment.
prescribed low dose Morphine to relax breathing stop my shallow breathing, this is working well.
Only symptom horrible cough when waking up and at times of big effort, to clear gallon’s of mucus.
Then sent home, no indication of what progression would be like, I asked told everyone different.
I could ring if needed and there would be bed for me once the end was near.
Just in limbo and ground hog days.
Seen community nurse who was out her depth and contracted in support.
Visit from MacMillian physio cancelled by them.
It is ground hog day again, is this ‘normal’ should I be getting more help?
Paul
Hi, we are the same situation with my gran. She was told no treatment tho rather then choosing. She has been sent home and told nurses will be in touch in about two weeks but she is struggling so much already, no idea what happens next.
hope you get sorted soon x
Forced to end work as a Social Worker for 24 years. Seen the progress of cuts austerity in services, so was not expecting much,
Though a bit more or any support and help than there is/has been given,
Paul
