Originally diagnosed with Sclc in October 20 along with lymph nodes in the neck and in my left tonsil.
tonsils removed Xmas 20. Started chemotherapy and radiotherapy in 30 doses to neck and lung and the 12 months of immunotherapy ending March 22.
PET scan in November 22 showed neck, tonsils clear and lung showed shrinkage.
Fresh PET scan two weeks ago shows the lung is now progressive and I’m now showing in the lymph nodes of both lungs and both adrenal glands.
could any of you kind souls tell me what further treatment I can expect as I’m on tenterhooks awaiting an appointment with my oncologist as he’s waiting for a report from microbiology.
it’s worrying me sick now.

Hi Gerry i have stage 4 lung cancer it is in my adrenal glands and arotic lymph nodes but abdomen end i stared immunotherapy dec 20 and started radiotherapy in February 21 i had 20 sessions at Southampton on my chest then oxford for my adrenal area , i am coming to the end of the trial only two more treatment to go and the cancer is non measurable in my abdomen but only my lung is and thats shrinking all the time, the plan is to monitor after December. Have you asked about trials it is the radiotherapy side thats the trial on saron trial immunotherapy is the standard part.

Many Thanks Darren, I’ve an appointment with my oncologist next Friday.
I’ll certainly ask about further trials.
