Hi , My Mum has has chemo and her platelets done but noticed that she is getting quite a lot of Nose bleeds and has a terrible cough - is this normal. Thanks
Hi Toppy, as this is a new symptom for your mum, I would check with someone in her medical team, either her lung nurse or GP.
I hope she is doing well on her treatment apart from the nose bleeds. X
Thanks Chelle, She is doing great other than this. I am sure she had the same the last time but just feel it's been more severe. I have tested her for Covid, in for a penny, in for a pound. I will call her helpline. Thanks so much x
Any medical problems should be mentioned to the medical team. It could be caused by the chemo or could be the side effects of drugs taken to counter chemo side effects. Anyway, the doctor needs to know anything new and will tell you if it's "normal" or not. Also there is medication for treating nose bleeds which might help your mum, so do mention it. Best of luck.
