Can anyone help with some info please?
My husband has had two cycles of chemo x2 and immunotherapy. He was tolerating it quite well - mainly fatigue.
He was admitted to hospital yesterday after having some pain when breathing in. He has fluid around the heart and will have a procedure to drain it.
Any positive responses would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi EmC I am so sorry to hear about your husband. That must of been very scary for you both. He will feel much more comfortable once the fluid has been drained.
Are you able to visit him whilst he is in hospital? I know different areas have different procedures at the moment.
I hope he will be back home soon and can re start his treatment x
Thanks Chelle, he was discharged this afternoon. He had the operation Friday when the fluid was drained under general anaesthetic. I'm so pleased he's home. We have an appt with the oncologist as he is due to have his 3rd cycle on Thursday - I wonder whether that will go ahead...
Hope all is OK with you x
