Hi all. New to the groups found out my 74y old mum had lung cancer
the docs assumed it was non small cell so removed to 2cm tumour from the right lung 3 weeks ago. It all went well they said
yesterday the oncologist told us the tumour is 20% small cell and 80% non small cell. Something our oncologist had not seen before
we are now worried. Anyone else had similar? We are all deciding now whether to go for chemo or leave ir a few months and the. See what happens ? Cheers
Hi Ledlight, welcome to the group, but sorry to hear about your mum.
I haven’t heard of anyone having anyone in the group having both small cell and non small cell before. It is a hard decision to make, whether to wait and watch, or have chemo now. I wish your mum all the very best in making the right decision for her x
