Is there anyone else here with existing heart failure or atrial fibrillation? Has it affected your treatment decisions ? Would love to hear . Thank you
My wife developed AFib from high blood pressure during her cancer treatment 5 years ago.
The treatment to her throat caused her to have difficulty swallowing so she got very dehydrated. This caused her blood to thicken.
The Afib and dehydration caused a large blood clot in the atria and she went into cardiac arrest for 25 minutes in the hospital.
She is now been treated for lung cancer and has done 12 radiation treatments so far. She has once again started with occasional Afib but as her carer I make sure she stays well hydrated and I give her a 75mg Aspirin daily.
So please stay well hydrated and take a 75mg Aspirin. The oncologist is happy with her taking Aspirin.
What is your EF or Ejection Fraction? Many people with an EF of 40% live normal full lives.
