My amazing Dad passed in the early hours. I’m heartbroken, gutted and numb. He fought so hard until the end and I’m proud of him beyond belief. Life will never be the same again but I’m so proud and honoured to have had him as my Dad.
So very very sorry for your loss essex1 you did your dad proud. Sincere condolences to you and your family xx
Good morning lovely people.
2nd CT scan on 17 April this tear (R upper lobectomy Dec. 2022) recent scan has shown my middle lobe is compressed. Having bronchial lavage on the 23rd May. Letter to GP from consultant described it as possible middle lobe syndrome, GP unsure what this is. Regular chest infections but one in December this year & a few weeks ago really floored me. Throat is quite raw & my voice is quite hoarse. Anyone able to suggest any ideas on what's going on with me ?
Hi
He hasn’t been right for about 3 weeks. Lost so much weight, no appetite, loss of bowel control. He went for his usual blood tests last week for his chemo and nothing was flagged, he got to the chemo unit last Thursday and they said he had a chest infection so couldn’t proceed with the treatment and came home with antibiotics. He went to Hospital on Saturday and we got a call on Sunday to say he had 3 weeks, we went up there on Sunday and didn’t come home until 3am this morning. We watched him fight so hard, it was brutal, I am so proud of him and he’s now resting. I miss him so much and lives will never be the same again.

Lucie I am so very sorry to hear your news. This is heartbreaking for you. Talking to you over these past few months, it is obvious how close you and your Dad were. You supported him all the way, and your Dad will be so very proud of you.
The next few weeks will be very hard for you, just take one day at a time. Sending you lots of hugs xx
Thank you Chelle. I can’t believe he’s gone, he was such a big part of our family and he will be missed everywhere. I told my children tonight and it was heartbreaking, they adored him. He’s now resting, he couldn’t take anymore xx
Lucie, I don’t know if you are aware but there is a Bereaved family and friends forum which you may find helpful.
I hope you are doing ok. Just wanted to let you know my thoughts are with you xx
