Hi all,
Following on from my post over the weekend, we got the results that my Dad now has a few small tumours in his head and he will start radiotherapy tomorrow as an outpatient and back to the hospital everyday for 5 days (barring the weekend). He will now be able to give me away on Saturday! We are gutted of his set back but on the other hand his sodium levels dropping again have been a blessing as they wouldn’t have done the head scan.
The Oncologist told him last night he’s really happy with the progress so far, the cancer in his body is responding and he’s really happy, he may also have more chemo next week with the radiotherapy. I’m hoping he can continue with immunotherapy once again after chemo and RT.
Has anyone with SCLC been through radiotherapy and how did you react? He had to sign a DNR last night, which was an eye opener, but it was for the absolute worst case scenario’s from radiotherapy.
Thanks
Lucie x
