Atezolizumab Symptoms

Morning all,

I just wondered if there was anyone in here having Atezolizumab immunotherapy? My Dad was diagnosed with SCLC in June and has currently had 4 chemo sessions with Atezolizumab and is now having the Atezolizumab on it’s own.

He saw his Oncologist last week and so far he is pleased with his progress and blood results are looking a lot better, his next appointment is 17th December (the day before my wedding) with the results from his scan. All very nervous and praying for good results!

He’s back at the chemo unit today for his 2nd round of Immunotherapy without the chemo. I just wondered what others symptoms were?
He’s been tired after this dose and not much of an appetite and definitely constipated, so he’s going to speak to the nurses today and the symptoms

Hi, I am on Atezolizumab, and have been on it since last December. I had 4 rounds of chemo, with immunotherapy, and then have been on immunotherapy on its own since the beginning of March.

the chemo reduced my cancer (Small cell , plus a left upper lobe squamous cell carcinoma) and so far the immunotherapy is keeping it stable. The main side effect I have apart from tiredness, is itchy skin for a few days after treatment, but I take anti histamine and it does keep it under control.

I too am waiting for results of my latest scan ( on Friday) so will keep my fingers crossed for your dad that he gets good results.

Thank you for your reply. It’s great news you are responding well to the treatment and I wish you all the very best and fingers crossed your scan results continue to show stability, it really does give us all hope.
